Savvy

Savvy is a forum for teachers designed with teachers at Stockholm International School. The key idea was to incorperate the UN Sustainable Development Goals into educational material. The project was developed during the course participatory design at Stockholm University DSV.

Process

  • Project description

  • Contextual exploration

  • Future workshop

  • Prototyping

  • Valuation of prototype

The project was made in five iterations, with the first consisting of formulating a project description. The core idea formulated in the project description was to incorperate UN Sustainability goals: 4: Quality education and 12: Responsible consumption and production into education.

To get a better understanding of the enviorment in which our design was to be used and the users we were designing for and with, we performed a contextual exploration by observering teachers and students during lessons at Stockholm International School.

To further involve the primary stakeholder teachers, we had two teachers participate in a future workshop and a prototyping session.

The Savvy prototype was then developed based on the teachers design concepts - with some modifications to ensure higher usuability.
